Independent living skills
An Extended Family Home (EFH) is a structured community-based family living option. DASH provides children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities an opportunity to reside in a family environment. The family will provide training and habilitation objectives in an ordinary setting. Individuals receive medication monitoring/administering, independent living skills, and community inclusion activities. In addition, assistance is given for school attendance for adolescents as well as vocational program attendance for some adults. The individual who comes to live in the home will apply their distinctive qualities to contribute to the household.
